Wednesday, May 21, 2025 through Wednesday, July 2, 2025
The cohort will meet in-person, every day (Monday to Friday) at the Pava Center 10AM to 2PM. If you are accepted to the program and are not present during these core hours, your stipend will be prorated and you may be dismissed from the program.
The building will be open from 9 to 5 (M-F), and participants are encouraged to use the space, but required hours are 10-2. The core hours are not negotiable.
Closures:
- Monday, May 26, 2025 (Memorial Day)
- Thursday, June 19, 2025 (Juneteenth)
Stipend:
- $4,500, paid out in two tranches
- This equates to nearly $40/hour to work on your own venture! (average of 20 hours per week)
Key benefits:
- $4,500 to support living and venture expenses
- Access to co-working space at the Pava Center
- At least one meal per week provided
- Connections to industry leaders and mentors
- Local field trips to immerse yourself in the Baltimore entrepreneurship ecosystem
- Connections to peers across diverse industries
- Preparation for future accelerator applications, pitch competitions, funding, etc.
Other important details:
- Recent graduates (including May 2025) are not eligible, unless you are enrolled in another program in the fall (i.e. 5th year Masters)
- There is not flexibility on the hours of 10-2. If you have another job, class, lab, internship, etc. that meets during these times, you will not be considered for this program.
- The expectation is that during the 20 hours, you are working on your venture, not other classwork, internships, etc.
- Stipend funds, unlike other Pava Center programs, can be used to cover living expenses. It is up to you how you would like to utilize the funds.
- Only one member per team will be accepted, however, we encourage coworking from additional team members, should they be local. Additionally, we would welcome attendance at workshops and events from other team members, if capacity allows.
- If you have a vacation planned during weekdays of this program, it is not a fit.
- You are responsible for housing, transportation, and meals during the 6 weeks. If there are field trips, travel will be coordinated by the Pava Center.
- During the summer, there will be one Tuesday evening (6 to 8PM) with required programming. We will share exact date in advance.
