Funding
Our grants range from $100 to $140,000. Johns Hopkins student entrepreneurs and recent alumni are eligible for non-dilutive grant and prize funding; additional grants are available for community changemakers through our Social Innovation Lab program.
Pava Center Entrepreneurship Funds
Supported by alumni philanthropy, to support the next generation of innovators.
Ignite Fund
Offered monthly. Awards gifted under this fund typically range from $100-$1,000.
Accelerator Programs
Offered each semester, including summer. Early and late-stage accelerators that provide stipends and opportunities to win funding awards.
Innovation & Entrepreneurship Challenge
Spring application cycle. Awards gifted typically range from $10,000-$30,000.
President’s Venture Fellowship
Each year, up to two $100,000 awards for student-led, incorporated ventures, a $40,000 one-year salary stipend venture leads, and a partial scholarship to the Carey Business School.

HopStart: Hopkins New Venture Challenge
Annual competition hosted by the Center for Leadership Education that challenges Johns Hopkins students to develop a business plan around a novel idea and pitch their plan to industry leaders.
HopStone Capital
Supports Johns Hopkins founders with grants and post-investment collaboration while providing students with experience in making investment decisions and managing portfolio companies.
Peabody Institute Launch Grant
Supports creative, innovative projects developed by Peabody Conservatory third-year undergraduate and first-year master’s students.
Life Design Lab
Provides access to resources including life design programs and courses, experiential learning opportunities, career search and development programs and guidance.
Carey Business School Student Venture Showcase
Competition open to all Johns Hopkins students to pitch their startup to a panel of experienced venture capitalists.
GreenHacks
Annual sustainability innovation challenge in partnership with the Ralph O’Connor Sustainable Energy Institute.
HopHacks
36-hour annual, student-led hackathon held at Johns Hopkins that encourages engineers, designers, and entrepreneurs to explore new ideas and create new applications.
