Johns Hopkins University offers multiple avenues for students to explore entrepreneurship across campus and programs.
Center for Bioengineering Innovation and Design (CBID)
Part of Johns Hopkins Department of Biomedical Engineering, CBID includes the Whiting School of Engineering and the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. Students enrolled in their one-year, fast-paced program have access to clinical and scientific expertise across both campuses.
Commercialization Academy
A highly competitive program that provides Johns Hopkins students with exposure to commercialization and entrepreneurship through a two-year paid fellowship. Fellows work directly with JHTV staff and entrepreneurs to turn groundbreaking research into products that change and save lives and transform industries.
Design Leadership MA/MBA
A dual program offering two degrees from two world-renowned institutions. Students can simultaneously earn their MBA from Johns Hopkins University and a Master of Art (MA) from the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA).
Entrepreneurship & Management Minor
This program provides Johns Hopkins students with the fundamentals of enterprise and provides hands-on experience both innovating to solve real-world problems and translating and commercializing those innovations from the classroom to the real world.
MBA Specialization: Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and Technology
A flexible MBA program focused on the methods, processes, challenges, and success factors in innovating and creating new products, services, and enterprises. Johns Hopkins’ part-time MBA programs offer courses in short, eight-week terms both online and in-person.
LEARN MOREI-Corps Program
An immersive learning experience developed by the National Science Foundation. Participants learn to identify valuable product opportunities that can emerge from academic research and gain skills in entrepreneurship through training in customer discovery and guidance from established entrepreneurs.
Life Design Lab (LDL)
Dedicated to supporting undergraduate and master’s students within the Krieger School of Arts and Sciences and the Whiting School of Engineering, LDL offers workshops, events, content, and drop-in office hours.
Social Innovation Lab
Supports early-stage, mission-driven ventures and disruptive technologies to create change in Baltimore and beyond. Students can apply to SIL’s six-month accelerator program to learn how to develop a thriving, sustainable startup with a measurable impact.
